pardon all the homesexual puns on the board as of late, manly on my part. im really not sitting typing in leather trousers with a slit in them for my privates to hang loose.
my boss wants to wine and dine me tonight along with my korean coworker, nice thought and that, but i had a tiff with them yesterday as some of you may be aware, id like to have a decent meal, though its mainly a way of saying sorry for being assholes, im ment to meet someone for a pint, worth saying i have other plans? I mean i heard some guy on the board getting fired for not going to the beach with his boss, is turning them down sucide? |

This dinner invitation is your bosses way of mending fences. Get everyone all lubed up on good food and soju and you will all feel more comfortable with eachother and ill feeling will slide away.
Go to dinner if you value your working relationship(s). |

So, you'd rather go for a 'pint' with a dude, than meet your boss and a sexy female co-worker? Sounds rather 'homa-sek-shul' to me. |

| You're turning down a dinner with your boss and two hot girls to go on a hot date with a dude? Pretty gay, if you ask me. |

| lol, trust me she aint hot, plus maybe a hertrosexual pint with another manly bloke is in no way camp, just be the usual manly evening of entertainment, few jars while oggeling at girls talking about how much we would like to 'do' them, then off to a club, smashing bottles and singing oasis songs on the way, getting booted out for fighting in the bogs, ending in a strip club then finally a police cell, take it you thought i would be meeting someone for a glass of rose wine to talk over problems a guy is having with his girlfriend |

Do the dinner. If you blow off your boss, you'll be in for a rough ride.
He'll sprint drink, Korean style and be shitfaced by 10:00 anyway, so you can still go out to meet your friend after.
And never underestimate the networking power of an ugly coworker. I've had several "language exchange" meetings with various ugly coworkers' non-ugly friends. |

Well, as it's rare as hell to get any sort of apology from a korean boss, I'd say take it. |

Wow, looking at girls and talking about how you'd like to 'do' them? Then fighting and getting arrested? And you think this is cool? You are a caricature of yourself. You sound like the typical person I would NOT want to hang out with. Oasis? Your vocabulary is very odd, as well. What is 'camp'? What country are you from? I'm genuinely curious!
Didn't Korean immigration crack down on fools with fake degrees? |

"Camp" is the new non-gay gay. They made it up on this board (in another thread).
Would it be totally against Korean culture to bring along your friend, sort of as a date? Since you had plans already. Then you can ditch the skirt after tea and you guys can have a real night of male-bonding. Or is that totally campy?
But it's ok to date a man if you're not gay. |
