So I'm doing pretty good for myself. I save a decent amount of money, my apartment is great, I take 3-4 vacations a year, and I've been with some really attractive Korean women.
Can't complain much. But every once in a while I see a foreigner driving around Seoul in a Mercedez, or I hear stories of bankers or investors living it up in killer pads, chilling at the Hilton, and scoring with women who are out of my financial league.
I often wonder what there life style is like and sometimes wish I came to Korea with an Ivy League MBA as opposed to a Canadian BA.
With that said, does anyone have any stories here of lifestyles of the wealthy foreign expat in Korea? |

Yeah, there's a lot of Aussies here working for some huge investment bank (I can never remember the name, starts with M), and they live pretty damned phat.
I went to a wine party at one guy's pad in the UN village, overlooking the Han. He drove a bmw, his boss drove an Aston Martin...it was insane. |

The amount of girls you could bang goes up exponentially with your set of wheels and living quarters. |

Exactly! I've been to the Hilton club hotel and Apgu a few times and have started chatting up a girl and everything's going well untill she asks what my job is.
I gotta keep it real and I do, but teaching Korean children English as opposed to giving financial advice to wealthy people has been a deal breaker on a few occasions.
I still get mine, but a few fine birds have flown away as well. Oh well! |

that would be the boys from McQuarie bank.
there are plenty of blokes around here like that, most of them were employed out of the country so its a different ball game.
Employed in country and you wont get any of the good perks, plus they have been working in their industries for well over 10 years |

Nail on the head!!
Being sent here by the company you are employed by, voluntarily or not, is the way to bring in the big money.
Getting employed in Korea by an international company will not do this in the same way. |

No, I'm a Western male, we don't have to do that. Plus "really attractive" is completely relative. So to each his own. |

That would be Macquarie Bank. They do equally well here in Australia but I think if you've got money, spending it in Korea is so much more fun.
