A friend of mine and I plan to go on a three or four day hike to Jirisan next week, and we need supplies - packs, shoes, stove, food, etc.
Is there a district of Seoul that has a concentration of campling/hiking gear shops? Hoping to pick it all up in one place. |

There are about 20 stores in the block at Jongno 5 ga. I forget the exit but it runs towards Cheonggyecheon. |

Why pack all that from Seoul? Head to Hamyang or Sancheong empty-handed and get it all there. You'll probably be able to get good local advice on, and maps of, Jirisan Park going that route as well. I myself am going there next week. Maybe we'll run into each other. I'll go to Hamyang, catch the Jiri Mountain bus from there, do some hikes, and then head to an all-night JimJilBang in Sancheon to just soak and relax. Should be great. |

Can't help with the gear question, but I did a 4 day Jirisan trip, so if you have any questions about that just send me a PM. |
