While the "Affliction" show has more appeal to hardcore MMA fans, UFC has a lot more brand recognition - and their scheduling a solid free card against Affliction's attractive pay-per-view event is obviously calculated to hurt the competing production (despite Dana White's denials.)
I like the entertaining coverage found on "Between the Ropes" (there's a new "free BTW show" every Wednesday and plenty of other free stuff)

I watched all the Affliction matches on the MMA channel on Sopcast - and it was an action-packed card for the most part.
Then it went off-line right before the Fedor - Silvia fight, but I watched it on TVU (on which the MMA channel was still working)
I was about to post a heads-up to forum readers who wanted to see that bout - but the fight ended before I could finish typing ...
I recommend watching replays of the whole Affliction card so I won't give any more results right now.
And currently, I'm watching the UFC event (in English) on the Spike Channel on TVU... |

What's a Sopcast and what's a TVU?
Did you watch them live?
I've only just seen it via torrents. I know UFC is on cable here but I prefer the English language commentary and the whole card... |

I'm starting to get into the other MMA feds these days... All the guys Dana White is firing and scaring off are gathering in the same places and the cards are better than anything the UFC put out recently.
The last WEC card's two title matches were off the hook. The next WEC card (Aug 3rd) should be more of the same. |

I find this amazing! I am just browsing tonight and find both rteacher and 5eagles both immersed in the world of humans beating each other to a pulp, viciously and sanctioned and watch and cheered by kids around the globe...
So much for "religion".... lol I guess when in Dave's, do as the Dave's do....
