Who didn't know this?
Maybe the next time some right wing economist report comes along criticizing Europe for not making people work stupidly long hours, for giving long vacations and family leave, and for providing good levels of service in health and education - maybe next time that happens people will remember this? |

And yet still sooo much better than pretty well any non-G8 country. And definitely better than Russia (okay, that's not saying much)... That still puts the UK in top percentile.
Let's face it, chavs and crappy tv notwithstanding, the UK's still a damn cool place. Just a bit too pricey is all. |
