Y'all got some tips and tricks for me? I'm going to check out a used car dealership in a few days. It will be my first time buying a car. I'm hoping to pay under one million, since I only need it for a year. I don't car if it doesn't look pretty as long as it runs well. Is it possible? |

Definitely. I had a '92 Hyundai Excel. Bought it for 600,000 from a used car lot in Seoul. It ran like a dream for two years before I sold it. I would say for around a million, you could get an old, but decent car.
Good luck!! |

I just went to a car lot and checked out a nice looking Tiburon. But I am worried the gas will be expensive. How much do you pay for gas a month? Someone told me it would cost like 400,000!!! Crazy. I only plan on driving to work and occasionally to the gym. How much do you pay a month? |

I pay around 200 000-250 000 a month in my Tucson, but its a desil so it gets pretty good mileage. |

Isn't that an SUV? 200-250 isn't bad. I was floored when someone told me about 400,000 for this car. I know it's a sports car and all, but 400,000? |

The Tib does get pretty crappy gas mileage. According to EPA stats, my car has 416 HP vs. the Tib's 172, yet I get only 1 MPG less!
I imagine you'll probably get something around 20 MPG, so if you drive only occassionally, I don't think the gas price should be that much. |

Yeah, it is an SUV. The mileage is actually getting better recently. I guess once cars get up to 20 000-25 000 km they start to get a little more efficient. If you really want a car with good mileage and that is cheap go with the new Kia Carens. They are really cheap new and get great mileage. |

1997-2000 tiburon:
140-horsepower 2.0-liter engine
Fuel consumption figures for a 2.0 liter/manual are 10.8 L/100 km in the city and 7.3 L/100 km on the highway.
the newer tuscani offers a v6 engine and that's when gas becomes a factor.
don't worry about the gas for a tiburon. |
