Calling all gamblers,

I'm trying to get back into the PokerStars world and would like to start playing from Korea again. has anyone tried this? How did you fund your poker account? From your Korean bank account? a foreign bank?

And also cashing out monies. How does this work?

Please help. I wanna make it to the WSOP next year. hehe

I play PokerStars. I fund it with an E-Check from my US account. The website can guide you through all of this.

I will just keep it there until it gets worthwhile to cash out, so I don't know. I started with just a small about and have about 4x that amount now.

The asian poker tour will have an event in September in Seoul. You can qualify through pokerstars.

I play on there daily. The only way I could get money in there was to deposit by western union and pay the $30 fee. When you are ready to cashout at least $500 they will wiregram it to you in Korea.

I was thinking of getting back into poker as well. I wonder if my old account is still around. Has any started an account from Korea? Just writing this I am starting to get the itch to play. Cool

I still use my American based debit card. Haven't cashed out yet...mostly because I run HORRIBLE.

And someone mentioned the APPT in Seoul...I really want to play, although I think it's limited to like 80 players, so you'd have to qualify directly from Stars, or else buy straight in, but do it soon.

The tournament is not until the later half of September, the player limit is 250, and pokerstars is still just qualifying for Macau right now. I think even if i do not qualify I will go to see the event/get in some side games!

The last time I checked, you couldn't actually cash out because Internet gambling has been officially outlawed in the US. So you can play but you can't cash out. I could be completely wrong. As I have around $50 in my PokerStars account I've never bothered to even try and cash it out. I just play the odd $3 sit-no-go now and then.

oh, so there's 250 players? thats good to know. i'm going to attempt maybe one or two of the bigger buy-in satellites on stars...if i dont qualify, i'm probably going to buy in directly. i need to test my game in a big buy-in tourney. my best friend played in the wsop this year and went deep in a $1500 event for a nice cash. my jealousy was off the charts, so now its my turn!
