|
|
Ok, unlike a lot of the students we deal with one of them is very cool. She ended up with 2 spare tickets to Pentaport and knowing I wanted to go gave them to me.
Its not some case where im going with her, she just didnt want to waste them. So, score i got two free tickets to something me and my friend was going to pay 90k each for. I figured big result.
I want to get her a gift, something about 20-30k worth, its small money to me really, like i said between 2 of us we are 180k richer now thanks to my student.
I'd like to get a pass to 63 building, i know she likes that. Is it possible? Im near there tomorrow so I can go and find out, other wise all suggestions are welcome.
(please no sick suggestions this is a genuine act of kindness, i know, its rare out here) |

Accept the gift seeing as she didn't pay for them anyway.
It may make her feel awkward if you force her to accept a gift from you.
Koreans never accept money. If you feel you must repay her in some
way, have it related to her studies. You could buy her a book. eg. a hard cover classic novel, she may not be able to read but it will sure look special. Seeing as its related to study, it's harmless.
Being too thoughtful about a student could create some problems. |

yeah, seriously - - what's with this remark?
a good friend of mine was having a baby - I wanted to buy her a stroller so we went shopping but the strollers her husband liked (go figure!) were too expensive for me to buy so I just handed over the 100,000 won I planned to spend and they bought the stroller they wanted, paying the difference.
why on earth would you think Ks won't accept money?
ask any student their favorite gift - bet 100% say it's money |

How about a t-shirt or souvenir from the concert? (Is it too late for that now?) |
