Since there is nothing else going on in the sports world right now, here is the link to this game if it is not being shown on television (Yankees -BoSox are playing today too if you care):

http://www.channelsurfing.net/

Scroll down until you see the USA Basketball - USA vs Canada 8:00PM EST 7/25 link and click it.

Should be entertaining to watch and there aint shyte else on.

Canadian National Team is a joke. We have an egotistical prima donna running the show.

Why doesn't Nash suit up for Team Canada?

Canada lost by 55 points. We should stick to curling and hockey.

We have a basketball team? About as surprising to hear we also have a soccer team.

Coincidentally, the U.S. national team is a joke too.

I doubt the Canadian team is thinking that. But that said, I half-expect the U.S. team to fall short of the gold which they are widely-expected to win.

As we know, basketball is a TEAM sport. You can't throw a bunch of individual talents together and expect success every time when they are facing more cohesive squads (that also have talent).

The U.S. should win, but the assumed guarantee of success hasn't been panning out for the last several years.

I've always been an advocate of having the current NBA champs represent the nation, but with the int'l players these days I don't know if that strategy would work.
