What's up with Korea? Even their home-grown brands of 4870 are whopping more expensive than the U.S. I thought prices would come down with the slow economy, but still 330K+.

It makes my blood boil. Pure shafting. An hd4870 is on average 50usd more here than in North America. |

The US has the cheapest video card prices in the world I'm pretty sure. In Europe, I've seen prices that are the same in USD and Euro, and the Euro is worth a lot more than the USD! Britain's even worse, isn't it? I see British people being stoked at getting a 3850 for 75 pounds. That's almost 50% higher than the US price! |

Because the shipping charges and the import duties would negate any savings you'd get from buying in the US. The only thing that would be good would be to get a better brand, but most ATI brands are available here. Only the good nVidia brands are hard to find. |
