The reason why I posted about him and why I try to pay attention to news about him is because I find him to be more than just the normal Democrat (kneejerk reactions/anticonservative). He seems like he has a passion for leading. I don't know, it's just that I find that I actually have hope in the Democratic Party when I listen to him.
I don't believe the Democrats will listen to him though. They seem incapable of new ideas, they lost their reason for being in politics. The Democrats should stand for more than anti-conservative. |

| Apparently he's no dove and he's been chillin' with Richard Lugar. I think he's not only clever, but he shows some real wisdom in his choices and with what he says. |

Whether a dove or otherwise, he gets ink in the progressive press. This is from Mother Jones, though it's a reprint of remarks made elsewhere ...
The topic is education. I'm embarassed for the man to have to say that I found a homonym error on Page Two, the kind that spellcheck usually won't spot ... could have happened to anyone.
The silver lining is the conclusion he draws about the essential ingredient needed to reform education in America : teachers.
Found another mention of the fellow in Alternative Press Review, this one more along the lines of the previous poster "

The reaction to these statements from the senators present varied, although none seemed to oppose the overall strategy presented by Ms. Rice. One GOP senator, George V. Voinovich from Ohio, noted: "We have to level with the American people," he said. "This is another world war." Voinovich, who opposed the appointment of John Bolton to the United Nations because Bolton alienated potential US allies in its war for millennial world hegemony, was not so much asking for a change in policy as he was asking for the White House to stop misrepresenting its intentions.
The senator was joined from the other side of the aisle by Senator Barak Obama (D-IL). Now, to some folks opposed to the war, Obama is a potential ally. However, like Voinovich, it appears that he is not opposed to the project to remake the world (especially those parts of the world where the oil is) in Washington's image but he is opposed to the current administration's unilateralism.
"This broadening of the mission is disturbing and difficult for us in the Senate to deal with as it requires a leap of faith on our part that a mission of that breadth can be accomplished in a reasonable time frame," Mr. Obama said. (Wash. Post. 10/19/2005) Notice that his concern is with the time frame involved in dominating the world, not with the underlying philosophy that says such a project is the right thing to do. |

I'm impressed. You said this in 2005! You could have made a bundle on the presidential futures bets.
So who's gonna win? |

Holy cow are you psychic? That's a pretty good guess 2 years in advance.
So tell us who's going to win the World Series so we can all place bets? |
