About a week ago, I was informed from the Korean consulate that I was accepted into the EPIK program. I still haven't received my contract/notice of appointment though.
Will anyone else be attending the orientation in August? I'm not really sure what to expect, but I'm looking forward to it. I can't believe it's less than a month away... |

Two day flight? You must have a long layover.
I fly out of Chicago on the 20th. I've been assigned a notice of appointment for Jeju island, but it's in the mail. Where are you guys gonna be teaching? |

| They told me where (POE) I was going to be teaching when they offered me the position over a month ago. I just don't know where exactly (city or school). I thought they would have at least told you the POE location. |

| I heard Incheon's not a very good place to live, or visit for that matter. But that was just from a few individuals on the message board. |

You should have been told...which region that you are going to be working in by now and your contract should be sent to you awhile or in the next couple of days.
I'm already in Korea, bouncing from city to city...visiting my relatives. |

| I'll be there. I'm flying out of Chicago and I'm going to be teaching in Busan. For those of you who haven't received your appointment package yet, I wouldn't stress out about it. I've had all my documents in since May and my contract was just sent out yesterday. I should get it by Monday. My recruiter said that there has been a lot of disorganization with EPIK - especially Busan- this round of hiring. See ya guys in Seoul! |

I'm catching a plane on the 20th from Manchester (UK). Still don't know exactly where I'm working but I asked for Susung-gu in Daegu and the lady at KorVia said that that was fine.
I really lucked out with the orientation, the place it's at is 5 minutes away from the apartment of a k-girl I've been studying on my MA with and fancy like crazy. She's promised to show me around the sights while I'm there |

| I've been accepted into EPIK, but I haven't been informed of any orientation. Is it paid? What are the details? Does every city have it? |

My boyfriend and I are flying from Minneapolis via Chicago. We're going to teach in Busan.
How soon do you get reimbursed for your flight? If it's with the first check, that sucks.
Also, I have no clue what we're doing in orientation. I really hope it's paid. |
