I have no idea why he said that, but I wondered if it had to do anything with me being there? |
pffft. I'll bet you wonder that about everything.
"The other day, I was driving along and the light turned from green to red. I don't know why, but could it have been because they didn't want the foreign guy passing them? Was it because I was foreign? Xenophobia, anyone? I don't think it was a conincidence because the light changed *right* when I got there! And I was the only non-Korean around! Maybe they didn't want me find out about the middle school student sex ring that was going on right down the road!" |
Given your obsession with middle-schoolers and that you don't find it disturbing that a booking bar advertises "Middle School Student" on their business cards in big, bold letters, I have to wonder.... will billybrobby be the next swirly-face we see on the news? |

Another photo of the same protest. You can see the Korean in this photo and the rough translation is "Crazy cow ..." I can't see the rest of the meaning.

| When you're in a state of hysteria about the 0000000.1 % risk of catching a disease and out on the streets protesting in a fit of rage....I don't mean to be harsh......but is mad cows really going to affect your lifestyle that much ? |

I don't know what "beef" you guys have....I just want to say I'm wary of people that read too much into the writings of others. It shows your mind went places that the average persons didn't. That says something about you. Pedo. |

| What would have been hillarious is if that McDonald's sign fell down while those two clowns were dancing on it. |

It is not necessirly xenophobia if you are protesting against US beef, but there is a lot of ignorance behind it all. Supposedly, some TV program was claiming that Koreans are more suscetible to getting mad cow than Caucasians which doesn't seem to be scientific at all. How did they come up with that conclusion? It sounds like some African Americans who think the white man came up with HIV to kill black people. Some people become easily paranoid and influenced by leaders involved in propaganda.
The risk of mad cow is so small. That said, I can't say I wasn't alarmed when I found some greedy farmers created mad cow disease, and that there was still a risk. |

Street Protests Descend Into Lawlessness
Chosun Ilbo (July 28, 2008)

| Quote: |
| Downtown Seoul descended into a state of lawlessness this weekend, four days after Police Commissioner Han Jin-hee was sacked for being unable to control illegal street protests. Between Saturday night and early morning on Sunday, police estimate some 1,500 protesters gathered in the Cheonggye Plaza and held the 80th candlelight vigil against the import of U.S. beef. During the rally, some demonstrators beat police and reporters, and caused traffic congestion as they occupied the roads. A drunk motorist drove into the crowd, injuring six.... |

| Only 1,500? Now we're down to the hard core. I'll bet they're not even protesting beef, they're probably a mix of leftover clone doctor (what was his name?) supporters and the 2-dead-girls supporters. |

from the Chosun article
| Quote: |
| Meanwhile, another candlelight vigil was held in the Cheonggye Plaza from 7 p.m. on Sunday attended by some 300 members of the Korean Council for Democratic Martyr and an anti-Lee Myung-bak online club who called for overthrow of the government. The vigil was held in memory of the late Lee Byung-ryeol, who burned himself to death to protest against the import of U.S. beef in Jeonju, North Jeolla Province. Sunday marked the 49th day since Lees death. |

| Trying to convince some Koreans that U.S. beef is okay is pointless. How can you argue with people who still believe in fan death? Or that sam gyup sal is healthy? (Yes, I've had Koreans tell me that.) |
