I thought he did okay. Fast-talking reporter, noisy environment..........His English is better than I guessed it was.

Still has a lot of work.

So much Konglish in there and broken English.

I wonder how many takes he needed for Speed Racer for even the simpler scenes.

Some bold ESLer (at the end of a contract) needs to barge in on his manager and offer their services as a personal coach.

Might even get ya fame and fortune. Smile

Or at least bragging rights. Wink

Have you seen Speed Racer? Basically, these are his speaking scenes.

Scene 1: Rain getting punched in the face by a thug.

Rain: Ow!

Scene 2: Rain getting choked by a thug.

Rain: Urrg.

Scene 3: Rain, Speed Racer, and friends are hurriedly leaving to join a race.

Rain: Come on! Let's go!

Scene 4: Rain is driving a car.

Rain: Whooo!

To be fair, the interviewer should have been briefed so that he knew that he needed to simplify the language and slow down the pace. Rain's PR people must be really awful to allow that kind of interview, it makes their client look bad.

That haircut is vastly unflattering.

(And yes the interviewer is speaking too fast and running his words together.)
