[quote="Ilsanman"]So you admit it's a racial slur but you don't delete it? Good job mods!!!

We deal with things as we see fit. You don't know all the actions we take. After comments were made, the post in question was later removed because slurs against any race is verboten.

I was under the impression that Japanese was a nationality not a race.

Anyway if these are the new guidelines I only hope the same standards are applied to those who equally disparage Koreans on this board as well.

What is confusing...for lack of a better word is this....
many koreans hate the U.S. and its policies, government regs, and Americans in general....yet, some are up in arms that the U.S. is taking a netural stance on the Dokdo issue....
why koreans.....do you care what the U.S. says or does not say on Dokdo?
I suppose if the U.S. position was favorable toward korea...my oh my...they would love the U.S. this time around!

I totally agree UrbanMyth. I don't want to see racial slurs or ethnic slurs used against anyone. Seems fair. These forums will be better for it.

Good to see the USA doing the right thing. I wonder if South Koreans will rip apart and decapitate Bald Eagles and drip the blood on American flags in protest?

I think Korea deserves most of the criticism it gets. Anyway, I haven't seen any racist remarks on here (nobody referring to them as 'gooks' for example)

Well our two tiny islets are sure hitting the headlines today Exclamation

US Office No Longer Regards Dokdo as Korean Territory
A U.S. office charged with establishing international geographic names for use by the American government says Dokdo is no longer South Korean territory.

US Urged to Retract Naming Islets as Undesignated Territory
In a press conference in Washington Monday, Lee said that he and his staff ``are meeting with officials from the State Department and other relevant U.S. government agencies to explain that the Dokdo islets are our sovereign territory by history, international law and geography.''

He said the embassy staff are ``doing their utmost to rectify it.''

Lee, Bush to Discuss Dokdo
President Lee Myung-bak is expected to raise the issue of a U.S. geographical agency's decision to deny South Korea's sovereignty over the Dokdo islets during his planned summit with U.S. President George W. Bush in Seoul, early August.

Yeah, it's true. In this case, incompetence is it's own reward. Likely, Bushee will laugh at 2MB if he brings up Dokdo. What the hell does he expect him to do?

No doubt. What goes around comes around, so Korea shouldn't expect anything less from here on.
