This question is from my Mom. When she tries to see a video that 's on a web page, she gets about 2 seconds worth, then it quits. I advised her to hit the "refresh" key. She had already done that. I'm going to have her go to a YouTube page to see if that works, but any suggestions as what might be causing the problem?

Thanks!

Gotta wait on the brand...not sure, but it's only a year or so old. Browser IE, internet speed .... dial-up Exclamation Embarassed Video: probably things on health-care sites, books, movies, AARP, that kind of stuff.

She's using dial-up? A video will probably take ages to load. Post a link to some of the videos she's trying to watch.

She might also want to update the flash player.

Ok, here's all the info: The videos she wants to watch are usually from The Today Show or Good Morning America.

Her internet speed is 46.6 kbs ( Shocked ), she hasa Compaq Presario SR1810NS, 3000+ ADM, Sampron Processor, 512mb memory, 100gb HD and graphics: Intetrated ATI RADEM Xpress 200.

Hope this all helps!

Oh...btw, she CAN watch YouTube.

Do some websites need Java installed to view videos? I vaguely remember having to install Java to view video on some websites.

Tell her that she needs to wait a long time before she can watch those videos as her internet connection speed isn't fast enough.
