I need some information on Jochiwon and Yeongi-gun in general because I may be re-locating there from where I am currently at. I know there is a train station there and it's close to Cheongju, Daejeon and Cheonan. I also know that Hongik Uni. has a campus there and I believe Farmingham has classes there too.

I need some other additional information since the search has provided rather limited information on the area. Cheers Smile

I work at one of the uni's in Jochiwon.

You can catch the train to Jochiwon from either Seoul or Yongsan station. The Mugunghwa and Samaeul trains pass through there. They take 1:40, and 1:30 respectively.

Jochiwon is a small township 20 - 30 minutes north of Daejeon (depending on train). There is not a lot to do there. There is no movie theater, although one is aparantly being built. There are around 3-4 western style restuarants, mainly Italian, not bad.

Nightlife is pretty poor. I do know of some people that live and work there but it's not too common. Most people I know who work there commute from bigger cities in close proximity, eg, Daejeon, Cheongju, Suwon etc.

PM me more for specifics? Where are you going to work there?

Do you teach the course on the correct use of the possessive 's', perchance?
