That church is on a street near the University of Tennessee. When my brother was in the UT marching band, that church would allow the band to use some of its rooms to practice. My brother told me that as they were leaving once, there was a gay men's meeting going on in one of the rooms and they overheard one of the dudes saying, "It doesn't actually require penetration..."

Apparently, the shooter was a self-proclaimed Confederate who listened to too much Sean Hannity while driving his truck. In 2003 or 2004, the drivers restroom at a distribution center in Gallatin, Tennessee had a lot of graffiti saying, "Liberals must die." So many drivers made pick ups and deliveries there, it makes me wonder if he may have been the culprit of the graffiti since he was an out of work driver at the time of the shooting. Either that, or there's another crazy truck driver out there in Tennessee who also thinks liberals must die.
