The new trend involves pets, young men without stable jobs and owners, older professional women with a steady income.
The potential pets post their background and basic information on Web sites and lonely women in need of someone to do household chores contact them.
The basic daily duties and responsibilities are rather simple. Pets wake 30 minutes prior to their owner and prepare breakfast.
Once the owner leaves for work, the pet must take care of basic chores around the house and then they get to enjoy some free time. Once the owner returns from work, the pet might accompany her to the movies or take a stroll around the neighborhood.
The contractual agreements that bind the roommates often include clauses that forbid the pet from entering the owners room and the need to request permission for outings. |

Awww. Isn't this a nice cute way to get yourself a live in gigolo without all the legal ramifications. |

I read the whole article. While I understand the growing trend of couples cohabitating before marriage, I don't understand the following trend:

The contractual agreements that bind the roommates often include clauses that forbid the pet from entering the owners room and the need to request permission for outings.
The reasons for the growing interest in such agreements, even though they seem rather disadvantageous to men, vary. Such a question was put to 20 applicants who posted their personal information on Web sites that link roommates.
Some mentioned that they simply wanted to get away from their family and try living with the opposite sex. One said he wanted to find out what it felt like to obey and submit to a woman. Another potential pet had an economic motive as he said it simply paid better than most part-time jobs. |
Bizarre. Even if sex doesn't somehow become involved (yeah, right), it still sounds like a male escort for hire type of thing. Except in this case, he lives with you...and makes you bfast...and cleans your house. |

When you've been coddled by mommy your whole life, this is what you end up being.
I have a feeling that some of these guys just can't get away from that type of relationship. |

I don't know that it comes from being coddled by mommy. There's plenty of this back in the west, through organizations that help individuals (even couples) find live-in 'pets.' Contracts of ownership and all.
I think it's the people themselves not the parents who reared them.
I've just always assumed it was some bizarre fetish group, interesting it's made its way here.
I wonder if Korean plushie underground societies are next. |

If there's no sex involved then why not just get a maid? |
