Angels beat down the Red Sox, just watched the third game on mlb.com I mean, it wasn't even close (9-2).
And, with the addition of Texiera, you'd have to say the Angles are odds on favorites to win the world series, as there are three teams in the AL east competing while they're *cruising* to the AL west title, and the AL central? Sorry, the quality isn't there. And the national league? Well, generally they are owned by the AL in interleague play and really, who ya got in the NL? Milwaukee is the flavor of the month but they're newbies so I don't see them competing with the big boys from the AL (I'm a Dodger fan, mainly, but even if they win their division which is feasible they SUCK unless they get some major offense before the trade deadline. Pitching is good, hitting pathetic).
Sorry I had to post this here but my fantasy teams have been eliminated (that's how much I suck) and the Angels owning Boston has to be expressed somewhere! |

Good points but the Angels always swoon in the playoffs. Maybe their year though.
Tampa are interesting. Kept waiting for them to come back to easrth---they came to Toronto this week and showed they are for real. Great pitchers I'd never heard of (Garza and others) and a great 3rd baseman.
Will be interesting in the AL.
I'm predicting a Loop series or WTF they will call it between the 2 Chicago teams.
OH since were talkin ball theres a rumor the SOX will send Manny to the Dodgers to load up on prospects. If not today (deadline) in the winter. |

Another very disappointing Blue Jays season as well. They can pitch, they just can't hit. |

I think the Bosox are right. They let Pedro go and what has he done? Aside from whine about a sore arm and "only" getiing 13 million a yr. Same with Nomar. Remember his career with the Cubs? Haha.
The only exception might be Damon but he left like a crybaby--thats why the fans were throwing dollar bills at the clown.
Bosox have a good record dealing with these primadonnas who think they are bigger than Boston. Lets not even start with Roger.
Manny can be Manny---------3000 miles away.
Hell lets send him to Korea and see what his "Market value" is. How about free admission to a salon room and 2.1 mil WON a month.
He'll be out the dugout door never to be heard from again.
GOOD RIDDANCE MANRAM--- |

Well, yes and no. They kinda got screwed in Game 2 of the 2005 ALCS vs. Chicago, and that totally changed the series giving the White Sox the advantage there. For a few years, the Red Sox have had their number, and they just ended up playing the Red Sox in the playoffs. Well, thigns are looking better now. |
