I've searched the travel sticky, but hafl of it's not working and no locations are given. Maybe we need to update the list.

Where are the travel agent offices that you've purchased from? Which ones have the most available options and high quality service? Which ones are great for dropping into their office to discuss available flight options?

Where is the Shoestring travel office located? Where is Xanadu? Where is Hanatour? Where is Gangsan?

Are al lthe travel agents listed legit in that you won't be in for an unpleasant surprise at the aiport? Who is a scam artist we should all know about?

I am a big fan of Shoestring Travel, I've had only good experiences with them. They speak excellent English, they respond to my emails, and they have the best prices.

I purchased a ticket for Thailand and my Japan Rail Pass with them. They also give 40% discount on all Lonely Planet travel guides, so my Japan book only cost a fraction of the regular price.

They are located in Hongdae. Use exit 5 at Hongik station. Go straight until you see Omuto tomato. Turn left, walk up the hill past Starbucks & KB bank. At the top of the hill, you will come to Hana Bank + a crossing. Go straight cross the road. Turn left and turn up the first small road on your right. Then, there is the Shoestring Travel Office on your left.

Their office is so nice too.

Why would you actually go to these travel agents? That's going to be a huge pain in the @ss.

The easiest way to get a ticket is to go to the Sticky on this board listing all the travel agents and call at least 5 or 6 of them. Ask them if they speak English. Most of them have at least one person that does. Ask them for the cheapest price they have for the destination you're going to. Buy from the travel agent that gave you the best price.

You can pay for the ticket via bank transfer at any ATM here. The travel agent can email you the "e-ticket" to you.

No speaking in Korean or travel involved.

Simple as that.

I've had very good luck with finding relatively inexpensive tickets through JNC Travel which is affiliated with Hanatour. The agent's name is Allie Koh and you can email her at [email protected] or call 02-796-9633.

Her shop is located in the shopping center next to the NorthFace store in Itaewon.

Some examples of her work is getting a Cambodian visa for my fiance at cost (50,000 won) and getting us tickets this summer to the Philippines for under 600,000 won including taxes.

Why did u have to pay 50,000 for a Cammers visa?

My mistake...it was a Vietnam visa. But if I remember correctly, there was a fee for crossing into Cambodia and getting the visa (went through the delta).
