Just wondering if blending milk and banana for b'fast lunch and dinner is good for you?
Have the love handles - have cut down the beer dramatically, am doing the weight squats at the gym like was suggested on another thread
Am trying to reduce my calorie intake - meaning dinner is not eaten after 6pm and rice is a low amount
Would like to try a very natural way with food
It seems that whenever you talk to a korean this food (korean) does something amazing to your body - well I don't agree
I think liquid/fruit vegetables is a way to go
Am I wrong? |

| Hogwash, it doesn't matter what time you eat. Just hit the gym each and every day, tired or not and you'll see results in 3 or 4 months. |

Dude is you are anything like your picture you know what I am talking about.
If I was a 25 year old stud muffin no probs
But am a little older than that.
Yes, I hit the gym 5 days a week - won't go into what I do but I get a sweat up ever time.
Walk to work 40 mins (I know in this heat I am crazy) do the gym thing for an hour and walk home for 40 mins (sweat shirt and all)
I know that loosing weight takes time but I am thinking that these love handles are taking a little long than what I want
That is why I am thinking of a liquid diet - banana smoothie so to speak |

I wouldn't skip a meal with what you are proposing.
I drink a banana smoothie before workouts on top of eating a low-calorie meal.
Get some protein powder, add some tofu. To cut down on the chalkiness, throw in a dash of cinnamon or nutmeg. |

This is what I call the "Peaches and Cream" diet--good for your complexion.
But my dear Sig, eventually you will become malnourished. You need veggies too, along with more protein. So save the smoothies for one meal, two at the most. |

If you listen to spliff you will look like spliff. Milk fat is a problem and bananas have a relatively high sugar content.
Cruciferous vegetables and fish protein are the best to start with. Foods I like: kale, swiss chard, broccoli, mushrooms, bean sprouts, red/yellow peppers (not green), kimchi (salty), eggplant, salmon, shrimp, chicken breast, zucchini, red cabbage, the greens I cannot name from the Korean market.
You're probably going to live well into the 100s if you exercise and eat the above foods, but don't quote me on that.
Forgot one thing: egg whites are protein god. Best way of incorporating protein into your system. |

| Just try this: exercise and a balanced diet. Don't go for all protein, or all liquid, or all fruits and vegetables. Life is all about balance. Not eating after 6:00? I hate it when people say that. First, you have to figure out when you go to bed, then calculate. Best of luck. Eye of the tiger! Eye of the tiger! |

You probably already know this, but drink tons of water. No juice, pop, or coffee. Only water. Also, try alternating exercises after each set. I forgot what this is called, but it helps your body produce testosterone and burn fat. For example, do a set of 10 reps of bench presses. Reduce break time in between reps to 1 minute. Then do a set of 10 incline situps. Wait 1 minute, then go back to the bench press. Do 10 reps for each set, 3 sets for each exercise. Then move on to the next two exercises. I wish I had the exact diet plan and exercise regimen from Men's Health that I used a couple of years ago, but my brother took it when he moved out.
In addition to the alternating exercises, do some intense cardio almost everyday. Finally, once a week find a place to do some wind sprints. Warm up with a light jog for 5 minutes, take a break, then do a wind sprint (50 yard dash or so). Take a break, then do a few more. Make sure to really stretch out before you do this. The first time I did the sprints I strained a muscle. It was pretty minor, but I couldn't do cardio for a few days.
I followed this plan and I had a 6 pack in 1 month. And you don't have to lift weights/exercise 7 days a week. I was going 5 times a week. Granted, I was already skinny. I just had excess fat on my belly that I wanted to lose. I was also still drinking beer once in a while (light beer). |

Hand in there OP, summer is halfway over with. Do you run? Try running a kilometer and walking another 3. After that, run for 2 min and walk another 2 min. Keep that up for 3 weeks, then try running 2K and the 2 min walk-run thing. I started doing that 3 months ago and lost my spare tire pretty quick. I don't know what your overall body fat is like, I've always been pretty thin everywhere but my desk job helped me gain the spare tire, so I needed to lose it. I started lifting about the same time - I've seen a huge improvement in my upper body strength too...feels fantastic to be stronger and slimmer too - you can do it man, keep going.
As for the milk and banana thing, it has carbs...it's OK I guess...but you need to do that extra 4-7 kilometers a day to balance out your food intake too. |

| I cycle 2 hours every second day (almost). This has lost me 10 kg in the past although i caned myself and cycled everyday then. This is the fastest way of losing weight ive ever experienced compared with jogging and playing soccer which doesn't seem to do much. |
