|
|
I read some people who posted in this forum that entering Thailand on a one way ticket could be an issue if you havent gotten a visa in advance. But does anyone know if it is possible to enter Vietnam on a one way ticket and no onward ticket? I am thinking to go to vietnam and then go on to Cambodia by bus. Obviously I would need to get a Vietnam visa in advance but I dont know if a one way ticket would be a problem. Thanks in andvance to anyone who can provide any info. |

probably it doesn't matter much - they are so used to tourists and welcome them - and maybe think you are there to look for a job teaching E even
also probably depends on where you enter - I walked across the border w/China and didn't have a tkt at all but had a visa which I arranged earlier in China - sounds like you are flying in?
I wouldn't worry as long as you have a visa and yes, just say you are traveling on to Laos, or Cambodia, wherever -
happy trails!! |

I second Moosehead, Thailand is the gateway to Asia and down under. There are so many english speaking travel agents who willingly sell tickets to farang!! |

it has been almost 5 years since I was in Vietnam I can't see why it would have changed. I wasn't doing the 24 hour bus from hell. I'd had my share of those already and for a little more money it was much better.
Anyway, I flew from Vientienne, Laos into Hanoi on a one way ticket, then made my way south to Ho Chi Mihn and then across by land to Cambodia. It's a regular route. |
