I'm lucky enough to live on a mountain with a small forest as my back yard, so I throw my food waste off the balcony for the small animals to eat.
However, I will often empty the food-catcher thing in my sink into the toilet... |

Rain is bad in Korea, I heard you could melt or all your hair could fall off, I have seen many bald headed foreigners, I assume they forget their umbrella. I never leave home without one now!!
Just so I am clear white bags are general garbage and orange is recycle??
Right?? my school just said to put everything in the white bag, why would they tell me something wrong, why................?? So they can laugh at me when I get arrested by the trash police. I put my trash out real late sort of like the cooky neighors on the birds. |

I usually order my eggs sunny-side-up, because too often I've been served hard-fried eggs when I order them over easy. If they come to me all slimy I flip them over on my plate, which usually cooks the slime off. Assuming they haven't been sitting on the passbar for too long, the eggs are hot enough to finish cooking themselves.
I don't like slimy eggs, but I don't like hard ones either. |
I almost never order sunny side up in a restaurant as they never get them right. I do them at home and I have two tricks.
If I make bacon I'll do the eggs in the same pan. Let the grease go to one side of the pan and put the eggs on the other. Once the eggs go white use the hot grease to baste the tops of the eggs. It cooks the slime off and makes the eggs extra delicious.
A healthier option is to get a pan with a lid at medium high heat. Let the eggs go white, then throw in a teaspoon of water and cover with the lid. The steam will cook off the slime. These are probably the best sunny side up eggs you can get. The yolk almost never goes hard. Perfect for toast.
Also, just do egg in a hole. Cut a circle out of toast then drop the egg in the circle, making sure the yolk is dead center. You can flip the toast no problem to cook both sides of the egg and yolk, and the toast provides support so the yolk doesn't break.
Damn, now I'm hungry for eggs. But I bought a nice marlin steak that I'm having instead. I'm going to cook up some string beans with butter and garlic as a side. Maybe do some steamed carrots or broccoli as well. If I wasn't dieting I would do a bit of baguette with brie and butter toasted. Man, what am I going to cook in Korea? |

Haha, what a humorous quip. Jealous, are we?
It's tough, to be the only superpower left, after bankrupting the other one. Hopefully China will catch up in a decade or so. Just remind them that when they reach the Moon, to look for the Stars n' Stripes already there.... that an American put there. 40-plus years ago.
I'd ask you for your health history, and point out what you owe American physicians and scientists for in your medical history, but no doubt I'd curse the fact you benefited from an American medical breakthrough.
ANd it was Americans who invented the communication tool of the internet- and not just Americans, but the US Defense Department's DARPA agency.
So when you are cursing the US of A, on your elevator ride up to your apartment, remember, it was an American who invented the elevator too.
Though I think most Americans would just accept a "thank you" from you, and that you move on your way.

I liked the thread more when we talk about eggs. |

I have been reading about deep fried Mars bars being all the rage in Scotland's chip shops at one point and desiring to try some; I am looking at recipes online. But I cannot find specific nutrition information anywhere. Health is a bit of a concern. I'd like to try to cook some sometime.
Anyways, nothing beats an egg on toast in the morning.
Did you know that eating raw eggs is not recommended? Not only because of salmonella scares, but because (I read somewhere) the protein in raw eggs is only 40% bioavailable while the protein in cooked eggs is up to 90% bioavailable. This means the percentage of protein absorbed into your body.
Everyone (especially fitness buffs): the raw egg Rocky routine doesn't work as well as if you cook them. So please cook them. |

a chef told me once never to chuck eggs down the sink, as they can block up the system like concrete.

| How did the "I hate Americans" thread become a thread about eggs? Ha! Nice hijacking! Over at the "I hate white English people" thread, they're going back and forth trading insults. Aah, Dave's...what a buncha kooks! |

| i didn't realize there was an "i hate white english people" thread. Did I start that one? I am aware of a thread entitled approximatley, "why are so many whites from england so unpleasant to be around".....obviously, the w@nker who started that one has serious unresolved issues vis-a-vis the white, egg on your face, anglais; probably a self-hatin' Whitey to boot.....but, Shankley, Mr. Frankly, i think Americans are, on the whole, really cool...i love their relaxed, friendly, confident, folksy ways as they make me feel like i'm in a real cool movie....if i had a chance to party with, say, either a bunch of George Bush and Paris Hilton clones, or, a bunch of Tony Blair and Posh Spice (or whatever her name is) clones......excuse me, somebody's passing me a reefer.....sorry, what was that?......yes, I Hate All Americans!! |

Not too watery is really important. Espcially the kind that cuts very nicely into your spoon. A little dash of salt and you have instant gratification-by-egg.
I'm curious to know what people's experiences are with those 'century-old' eggs? Anyone? |

There is a little bakery near where I live that cuts a center hole out of a nice thick piece of french bread and then pours a few eggs inside and lightly pan frys it with some butter. They aslo throw in a little bacon and herbs and the result is a truly awe inspiring breakfast sandwich.
Hmmm breakfast sammiches. |
