Anyone care to share some decent fishing holes??

I want to go somewhere that is decent...need to rent gear and am willing to travel just about anywhere on the peninsula.

Aug 15-17

Reasonable accom. nearby would be a plus, but chances of catching decently sized fish is even better!

PS: have car

You can always throw a hook into the nearest pesticide-laden irrigation pond... or come down and visit me. I'll bribe one of the local fisheries officers and we'll go out on the salt chuck and nail a 400 lb. blue fin tuna . Wink Sushi anyone?

Supposedly one of the best places in all of Korea to go fishing is Chuja-do. It's an island (well, set of islands) between mainland and Jeju-do. It can be reached by ferry from Mokpo I believe.

The accommodation on the island is very reasonable.

I didn't go fishing while I was there, but there are lots of great spots around the island, and you can actually see sizable fish jumping out of the water.
