|
|
My friend mentioned about me starting a small business from home. I love cooking and all my friends raved about it also. So I thought I could start a small business selling meals that's delivered to people homes. I've been there at times that I don't want to cook or feel like going out to eat.
I was thinking of serving breakfast and lunch to people only in Haebongchon since I live here and pretty much majority of the people on here are foreigners.
Of course it'll be all American style breakfasts and lunch. Simple dishes but at the same time reasonable prices compared to what you'll pay at restaurants in HBC or itaewon.
examples dishes
(Breakfast)
omelete with bell peppers, ham, onions and cheese
scrambled eggs, hashbrown, and bacon
breakfast burrito
(lunch)
ham sandwich with chips (ham, onions, tomato, lettuce with mayo)
ham mixed salad with (of course ham, onions, green peppers, mixed greens)
I'm thinking in charging anywhere from 3k - 5k won depending on the dish with 1k-2k delivery charge or free for picking up at certain stop of my choosing.
Give me some inputs guys. If I get enough inputs I might start it up very soon. |

I would pay through the nose to get fresh bread and muffins delivered to my house. I haven't had a decent slice of bread in 6 months. |

When my wife was working 2nd shift at her hospital she contracted with a restaurant to deliver dinner to our apartment. It was W25,000 for 5 dinners a week. Rice, Chigae, and 4 or 5 sidedishes. We did that for about 4 months and worked quite well for us. |

A ham sandwich just seems way to easy. I could have one made and eaten before you got to my house. Can you make chili? I would gladly pay you to deliver me chili. Another thing you may want to consider would be finding an area that has several large hogwons (YBM, Poly,SBC) that employ a large number of foreign teachers. Distribute weekly menus to the schools and try to get big orders. It seems like it would just be more profitable if you were delivering 40-50 orders of chili to 3 or 4 schools instead of ham sandwiches one house at a time.
If you use my idea I expect free chili! |

Deliverying to hagwons with large group of teachers would be doable also. If it happens, you'll definitely get a free chili |

I don't really think about bread much any more - have sort of given up - but then the other night I had a dream I was in a bakery in America - in New York, Greenwich Village, large round loaves, long loaves, some brown, tan, all kinds of sour dough, sheperd's bread, hallah, french, you name it.
I guess I miss it. oh well. |

omelettes and ham sandwiches? are you serious? Do you make your own ham? do you grow your own vegetables? and who are these people who rave about your boring food?
these are possibly the two easiest things to "cook."
good luck with your business aspirations. |

Why don't you have sexy 20-something waitresses deliver?
You could call it, "Meals On Heels."
It'd be a hit. |
