Does anyone have any input to offer about the teacher training positions with Seoul Education Training institute in Seocho-gu?
It seems to be a lot of work and not much pay and not much info offered from them.
Does this sound about right?
What is the housing they offer like?
Responses greatly appreciated as i am considering a position with them as a teacher trainer.
Thanx in advance. |

I used to work for them back in the day (before they moved to the new location).
Great students. From a teaching standpoint it was a great job.
The problem was that they make you stay there all friggin' day. If you teach 3 hours a day you'll still be there for 5 or 6 hours. We used to teach a five-day schedule, so every five days I reused the same lesson plans and that means that after the first month I didn't have a lot of constructive uses for all that time. There was also a few times when we had no classes but we still had to stay there all day.
I guess you could read or study or surf all day, but I couldn't handle this control aspect. |
