What are a few options available if you want to better yourself as a teacher? Today's podcast is all about that. Join us at a coffee shop in Kangnam as we talk to a Whistleblower from eslcafe.com. Whistleblower works for the Wall Street Institute as a program manager, and he'll discuss what he did before coming to Korea, his training to become an ESL teacher, and what being a program manager at his school is all about. He'll also ask me a few questions about my Masters in Education distance studies program.

I'm off to Busan... see ya'll later.

Wow - he sounds kind of gay, too. It must be something with your mic, BX.

Interesting to get your answers, too.

"Kotexel" that sounds ...well, not too good. I think Bass is using some kind of sound effect. In my experience, not many (if any) cert courses beat an Ivy league Degree... Very Happy

Hey, great podcast! A lot of things to think about. I was wondering if any of you had thoughts on an MFA in writing (fiction, n-fiction, poetry, etc.), and the potential prospects it might bring to an efl teacher? While it is a masters, I wonder if education officials in Korea and elsewhere might consider it a rubbish degree. It is kind of a pansy degree.

Whistleblower, you sound like a cool dude. Even though I butted heads with you in the "Korean Police Guide for Foreigners" thread, where you were obviously wrong and I was right, Twisted Evil you are ok in my book.

I know someone with an MFA degree and it did indeed help him get a uni job where he got to do some drama related stuff. Drama education hardly exists in Korea so in the few uni drama programmes that exist they're highly depedent on foreigners to help them out with this.
