After you have submitted your documents how long does it take to get your visa issuance number? Since this is early August and a lot of hiring is going on, is it usual for the process to take a month? |

The standard length of time is anywhere between 1-2 weeks. For the busy periods such as now and in February it can take a bit longer. Each immigration office also seems to vary in how quickly they process things.
In the meantime you should also check with the local Korean consulate to find out how long things are taking there. Again normally it's a 1-2 week process but I know that some places are very, very backed up. It took 3 weeks for the consulate to set up an interview for a teacher coming in. |

On average, if everything is in order, 12-21 days to process a visa from the visa confirmation application until the visa is actually in the passport.
There are a few exceptions as short as a week and as long as a month but these are not common. |
