They were in the World Series in 2006.

They narrowly missed the playoffs last year (and broke attendance records that were set in their 1984 World Series-winning year).

They're looking promising this year.

So, um.... what are you talking about?

I hate some western restaurants. It almost seems like you're in a church with all the candles and artificial behavior. And I don't want to chitchat with the waiters who just want a bigger tip.

Not really. The White Sox or Twins will win the AL Central pennant this year. I put my money on the Sox, unless they really blow it. And I'm not saying this because I'm from Chicago. I could care less what the Sox do. GO CUBS!

Funny you should say that. If I had read that without knowing who posted it and had to guess who wrote it, I would have guessed you did.

Koamerican, whilst I approve of you fighting back against a lot of the ridiculous anti-Korean comments of Dave's, I do wish you wouldn't get Western & American mixed up so regularly. My experiences growing up in the West (Europe) were totally different to when I lived elsewhere in the West (USA). The 'West' is incredibly diverse, remember that.

What's 100-3?

Answer:

Your 2005 World Champion Chicago White Sox.

If the contempt for Koreans were masked a lot better, it could have been funny. Snotty condescension was all I got out of it.

I hate some Korean restaurants, with the snotty napkins on the floor and the cockroaches. It's almost like I'm in hell or something.
