uhhh as i recall there were REAL brand doritos in most convenience stores - nacho cheese and a nasty (i imagine korean only) bag containing plain tortilla chips and a small packet of gochujang. but i could be mistaken.
however, i know i saw imitation funyuns at every convenience store i ever visited. look a bit closer. |

I haven't seen real Doritos anywhere...maybe I haven't been looking hard enough. Imitation Funyuns? Where? And I sure hope you're not talking about the semi-sweet Yangpa Rings that I see everywhere...Yangpa rings are not Funyuns.

You purposely here to promote Orion products or something? Well.. no need to buy the Korean version. I saw Oreos brand cookies sold at convenience stores and Lotte Mart.
Sorry to bust your chaps, but as I recall, Orion's Nacho chips tasted like cardboard - nothing close to Doritos. |

I work for Orion. I own Orion stock. I am the sole living heir to the Orion fortune.

I actually prefer the Orion ones to Doritos. |

Orion Nacho chips used to be Doritos here.
I don't know if Orion actually had license to the name or was simply ripping it off...but they tasted exactly the same as they do now.
But...how sad a thread is this? |

And Orion's Nacho chips in "Rich Cheese!" flavor (orange bag) are pretty damn close to Doritos tortilla chips |
No, they aren't. Not even close. But they are one of the few edible Korean chips on the market. |

The closest imitation of an American snack are those ones identical to Bugles.
No Doritos, but there's imitation that are not as good as the real deal in the states. |

Korea doesn't imitate western food/drinks very well. There is a vast difference between things like Oreos, Doritos, Mountain Dew,etc. that are produced in the US and those in Korea. They've got the potential here, but they fall short. It just doesn't taste as good as back home. But I give them credit for trying and I'm sure their products are in synch with the Korean palate. But there is a huge difference. |

1) Oreos are in great supply in Korea. I've seem them at Costco, Lottemart, E-Mart, and Homever. Where do YOU shop that you can't find Oreos?
2) You posted links to naver. Do you know/understand that naver blocks westerners from logging in or creating accounts? Very few of us can see your links because of this fact. |

Try to buy those things at Costco. Made in the USA and shipped to Korea. |

Geez people, lighten up! It's a thread about Oreos and Doritos ffs! I've only been to E-mart twice, never been to Costco or the other places. Where do I shop? I don't. I eat out.
I don't have an account on Naver either. I did a google image search and posted some pictures. Like I said, lighten up. |
