| Interesting life story, as most are, but didn't need the 2-week business. |

| Sweet Christ, I'd like my five minutes back. I'm going to start a thread about big news in five minutes. The amount of time it takes me to wank to internet porn. The payoff would be a lot quicker and more satisfying for everyone. |

actually, I dont think Indy himself said that, but the final knight guarding the Grail.........
and with the motif, about halfway into the second paragraph, the voice of heath ledger's Joker took over the monologue...... I had to stop, for fear of being slashed in the face. Or having part of my face dunked into gasoline, and then set afire. |

Thank you for the kind words from those of you who gave them. As for the detractors, well...I am envious of you, it seems you've never gone through trials and tribulations. You are very fortunate.
I stand by what I have felt since I started reading the Korean forums as compared to the SE Asian forums; there are far to many bitter people here raining on everyone's parade.
Good-bye. Dave, please cancel my subscription to this den of negativity. Life is far to short and precious to read tripe like that. Good luck to the good ones out there, and don't let yourselves get beat down by the naysayers who have nought but venom and bile to spew.

Maybe there's far TOO many bitter people because we have to deal with this kind of stuff. Dude you have a semi-interesting life story but it's hardly big news and definitely not worth waiting two weeks for.

Holy shit - I know the OP! We've kind of been out of touch for the past year-and-a-half but it's nice to know you're all sorted out. Major congrats on finishing the degree.
And if you're wondering, B and I figured out your degree was a BS, not a BA, but figured that you deserved the break. And let's face it, that school was a waste of time for anyone trying to teach English, BA or not. Your successor, who did have a real degree, seemed to like it, but then some things she talked about made me wonder what the hell she was doing there. She almost threw in the towel a few times because of the constant sexual advances she got from Mr K. The current guy, who's quite young, is very intelligent and I'm fairly certain does have a real degree, but I gather he seems to be in way over his head. Some of things he describes happening in his classes I'd beat my students for.
Next door to your old school they hired a guy who I'm fairly certain didn't have a real degree - at least I know that one of the three degrees he claimed to have was fake. It sounded that he was such a pain in the ass to work with that if I had been his coworker I would have done some research and outed him; but I guess the kids he worked with were too nice or clueless.
At any rate, for at least one of us this was worth the wait. At first I was thinking, shit, this was all for a biography, skimming it over, and then you got to the point about walking in on your ex and suddenly your face came into the picture. I'm sure I've heard almost every part of the bio in bits and pieces over numerous pints at one time or another. Good luck with things I sure hope your degree can serve you well in SE Asia. |

No.
Some self-confessional guy with a fairly uninteresting life thought it would be cool if we all paid attention to him. |

Well I thought so. Why would you automatically forgive someone before they even showed an ounce of remorse?
Personally I could not continue a relationship after being cheated on, but thats up to the individual I suppose.... |

Bait and switch. The guy was a timeshare salesman.
Compelling story OP and in some ways similar to my own but you should have just posted it up front. This in no way the kind of news anyone was expecting. What kind of response did you expect.
Like hey all....in 2 days I am going to pst some earth shattering news that will totally change your perceptions of everything you know to be true(stay tuned for my latest fishing story) |
