Try Super Kick Martial Arts Academy near Hongdae (www.superkick.co.kr). It's near the TGI Friday's intersection and is taught by a guy who's worked in the Hong Kong and Korean action film industry.
He also worked in L.A. so his English is pretty okay. The classes are 7-8 and 8-9 weekdays and tuition is 100,000 won a month, with ten percent off if you sign up for three months in advance. New students get a free studio T-shirt, too. |
What kind of martial arts? |

i boxed for my first 4-5 months there, then switched to muay thai.
and just to be clear, there are no actual "classes" there in the traditional sense. you go in, they tell you to do something, then they go sit in front of the tv. if they don't tell you to do something, you're supposed to do what you did the day before. |
I'm training there now, and this is spot on. It's a great workout, but I'm a little disappointed in the amount of instruction. They walk the floor and give pointers here and there, but they spend most of their time watching TV. |
Any specific directions by train/bus? |

Basically kickboxing. I'm not sure if he goes into grappling. |

| Temporary Hijack... You guys see the Fedor/Syliva and Silva/Irvin fight? Hope so. Was awesome. I've been a long time fan of MMA but my fanaticism is trumped by my pussydom. Been thinking about trying it out though. How long you guys been training? Is it hard to get into? Seems so diverse that I wouldn't know where to start. |

| Team Tackle used to have a foreign kickboxing instructor; not sure if he's still there. Regardless, they have people skilled in all parts of the game. Most of them are wrestlers/greco Roman, so that's the base they work from, but they had a sick BJJ guy as well. |
Did Dae Won Kim train there?
I know there's a guy from Korea who fought Marcelo Garcia in his only MMA match, and beat him. And I heard Eddie Bravo say he trained out of 10th Planet Korea. |

I mentioned it on page three. I believe the closest station is Saejeol or Susaek. Can anyone provide directions from there or confirm that? |
