|
So it's about the end of day 2 of the Olympics, and that has me wondering: when will South Korea become outraged?
You know what I'm talking about-the Ono fiasco, the Hamm gymnastics judging outrage, etc.
So, I'm starting a pool to guess which event South Korea will enact "Dokdo Syndrome", claiming it has been unjustly treated, and in the process, show bad sportsmanship and embarass itself once again.
They may be exhausted after expending so much "han" during the mad cow crisis, but nevertheless, I feel South Korea will once again pull itself up by it's bootstraps and whine better than any other nation in the world.
Here are the sports:
Aquatics
Archery
Athletics
Badminton
Baseball
Basketball
Boxing
Canoe / kayak
Cycling
Equestrian
Fencing
Football
Gymnastics
Handball
Hockey
Judo
Modern pentathlon
Rowing
Sailing
Shooting
Softball
Table tennis
Taekwondo: Blaseblasphemener
Tennis
Triathlon
Volleyball
Weightlifting
Wrestling
I'm going to pick taekwondo, Korea's national sport.

Don't know about being victimised, but they already benefitted from an unjust decision that sent off a Cameroonian player in the football. Cameroon was reduced to 10 men for- absolutely nothing. I don't think he even touched the Korean. |

Awesome reply
p.s. I will pick Archery. Korea is always expected to medal in that sport and listening to Koreans that would have you think that they invented the bow and arrow.

Nah. It needs to be a sport where you can veer wildly into someone elses lane. |

That would be rowing or canoeing, but Korea is not even close to being a contender in those sports. Veering wildly into other lanes wouldn't interfere with other crews because they'd already be in last. |

Although not having invented the bow and arrow, they do dominate the sport (at least the women). The guys are in top slots, but it's often another country that gets the top medal. Olympic-style archery (FITA) is a hard one to have bad calls in as the evidence is sticking out of the target and is easy to verify. The call would have to be something other than scoring, like maybe not shooting within the required time period or something. Still, I think their having a dispute in this sport is a longshot (pun intended). |

not only will they throw toilet paper at the opposing team during the game, but at the demos that will follow... toilet paper will become the national symbol for how they were slighted at the olympics... |
