He used almost exactly the same move to win each bout.

Great, gold medal. But to the Korean sports announcers... Shut up. Seriously. I mean whenever any Korean team or athlete is involved they let out these bloodcurdling screams like, "AAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH." It sound like you are either copulating with a wolverine or are burning to death in a fire. Really annoying. Just try to relax and learn to win with a bit of dignity. Rolling Eyes

I have personally coped with the commentators by turning the sound down because I could not understand what they were saying ... but the vision alone was enough to work out what was going on.

I gave up last night watching the opening ceremony because the Korean commentary really distracted me but I needed sound to hear the ceremony... But I now have a very very good English version of the Opening Ceremony to watch that I managed to get today ... so I am going to enjoy it now.

One slightly frustrating thing to me is that there are 3 different Korean networks broadcasting the Olympics but generally they are all showing the same thing at the same time ...

Yes, I saw it live .... I ended up seeing more Judo today than I have ever seen before ... I was waiting for the swimming to start ... I knew that I would at least be able to see the Australians in the mens 400m heats becuase Park was swimming for Korea ... and I was ... But not any of the other swimming. As an Australian traditionally I think that most of the Olympics I have ended up watching is the swimming (I guess because there are always lots of Australian's competing and we do usually end up with many of our medals in the swimming.

i agree, it is slightly annoying that they choose to show the exact same thing on all of the channels! I'm hoping this changes. Will they show much of the other sports that don't involve Korea?

one thing that really pissed me off today though about the Korean coverage of the games

was watching the women's wieghtlifting, and got almost to the end, when the Korean woman placed fourth. as soon as they knew the korean wasn't going to win a medal, they cut the broadcast, meaning you didn't see how the others did or the medal ceremony or anything. IMO that is a really crappy thing to do.....

True ... .. But this is also pretty much what each of the countries do with their own broadcasts ... Focus on the sports in which they have competitors ... especially the ones where they are likely to win medals ... I think the main reason I had never really seen Judo at previous Olympic games is because Australia does not do particulary well in Judo so the TV network didn't show much of it.

I saw the Judo when, I got a knock on my door because I was booing too loud I guess.

Didn't understand the angry ajoshi. They were mad last night I think when I cheered America. They cheer for Korea loud, both Koreas in fact....

The screaming commentator sucked.

A Korean winning at a Japanese martial art? You don't say. Didn't some people on this board say that Koreans were only good at Tae Kwon do?

Yeah, perhaps some of that Japanese ancestry is showing up in the bloodlines Laughing Oh, sorry...I forgot. Koreans are pure. Sorry about that.
