The agent's name is Kim Ji-tae.
His number: 010-5777-8883
His email: [email protected]
He uses the name is JT Kim.
He recruits "naive" foreign English teachers and gives them E-6 visas...
E-6 visas are "Entertainer visas" for the Entertainment Industry..
An E-6 visa is the EASIEST visa to get in Korea - as the person does NOT need a degree, police check, etc etc
The Agent then confuses schools and Public schools into believing that the E-6 visa is the SAME as an E-2 visa and places the foreigners (with the E-6) visa into the schools - including Public schools...
When Immigraton discovers it - the Agent gets OFF FREE...
The Teacher and the school receives a huge fine - and the teacher loses all the benefits (pension, bonus pay, airfare, belongings etc etc)...
BEWARE of this EVIL "agent"

Seoul - apparently he has many teachers working in his "job placements" now - all with E-6 visas -
and the saddest thing is all these teachers are naive, innocent foreingers who don't chat at Daves and don't have a clue - (are not in the "Know")
that they may be given HUGE fines and deportation when immigration finds out - or when they finish at the place of employment and apply for another position - at which time Immigration will read their resumes and discover that they were at schools teaching on an E-6 visa...
Here is one of his advertisements -
http://www.workinkorea.co.kr/JobSeeker_1view.html?seq=884
as you can see - he doesn't say much - just looking for an "English acting teacher"....
In Korean - http://www.sungdong.es.kr/OkBBS_sub.php?iOkBBSAId=21&iBBSIdx=646 - see number 13....
the problem is - if you are teaching "acting, drama, yoga etc etc" in ENGLISH in a school in Korea - you need an E-2 visa (NOT E-6)

I have figured it out at last - after trying to help a "hoepless Canadian female teacher" who was in this scam...
She taught at a Hagwon for a year on an E-2 visa...
then was "enticed" into an "English drama/acting position" by the evil Korean "agent"...
after another year she then applied for another "Public school teaching position" but was put under investigation by Immigration and had her visa rejected - because they read her resume - in which she stated she was an "English drama teacher at a Public school in Seoul" WITH AN E-6 VISA (entertainers visa - singer, prostitiute etc)...
now I found out the "evil agent" actually has a boss who is a CANADIAN...
who send heaps of Canadian to the "evil agent" to get their "E-6" VISAS and school positions...
so apparently after the last "do in" with all the Canadians purchaing "FAKE degrees" and using a Korean agent to get them jobs...
they have now turned to this....... |

The police need to take this scammer in for fraud. It's heartless as can be to take advantage of people to the point of making them lose their home, job, money, and personal belongings. That's just plain awful what he's doing, but you'd have to very dumb and naive to take him up on on his offer of, "part-time acting teacher."
It's hard for me to imagine that someone in Seoul can get away with defrauding his clients, while they are held responsible and lose everything. It's only right that CEO's are responsible for their illegal business and are brought in to be held accountable. |
