잘 하기는요

Use this when someone compliments your Korean ability. Say it in a modest tone.

A: 한국어 되게 잘 하시네요.

B: 잘 하기는요.


It sounds really natural (I think) and usually impresses them more than whatever it was you said in the first place.

듣기 쉬워, 말하기어려워.

Listening is easy, speaking is difficult.

It's all about verb tenses, learn a few and you can say anything.

~야되(요), 안~도된다 are "have to" and "don't have to". 해야되 is "have to do" 안가도된다 is "don't have to go"

~ㄹ꺼야(이예요) is will (though there are two wills this is the more general purpose one) 죽을꺼야 is I'll die (the "I" is implied, if you want to refer to someone else use the appropriate pronoun) 올꺼야 is "I'll come". For "won't" just throw an 안 in front of the verb.

~고싶어(요), ~기실어(요) are "want to" and "don't want to" (or hate) respectively. 먹고싶어 is "want to eat" 마시기실어 is "don't want to drink"

~ㅆ어(요) is simple past tense. 만았어 is "met", 일했어 is "worked"

last and not that useful:
~ㅆ었어(요) is "used to". 봤었어 is "used to watch (or see)", 앉았었어 is "used to sit"

Learn a few basic verbs, some nouns and practice these conjugations then you can fumble your way through most any random encounter. Most of the time pronouns and prepositions are unnecessary. You might not be the most elegant speaker but you can generally make yourself understood.
