So the mosquitos love me like no other. Evil or Very Mad I got like 10 bites in 1 night - 2 on my face. They also swell up super bad on me- one was the size of almost half my arm! Not to mention the unbearable itching! Anyone have any solutions to help ease my pain? I have the anti- itchy roll on stuff which helps all of like 3 secs before I have to reapply! Any advice would be awesome.

Witch hazel. Unfortunately, if you ask the local pharmacist, you will just get one of those Korean stares.

I brought some with me.

If you find it here, let us know.

This is purely speculative, but do you think something like allergy medicine would work? I haven't tried it for mosquito bites, but somehow in my brain it makes sense. Anyway, I know they sell Zyrtec over the counter at pharmacies here... I use it when I get my once-every-six-months cat allergy day.

A quick google search also brought up this link:

Let us know if you try any of them Wink

I don't know how readily available it is here in Korea, but hydrocortisone is a good option if you can get a hold of it.

When I was younger, I had an allergic reaction to mosquito bites to the point they would swell up real big. I had to take medicine prescribed from the doctor all the time. It went away with time. Since I moved to Korea, the allergy has come back. I went to the Doctor, he said Korean mosquitos are different than North American mosquitos. The doctor prescribed the usual 12 pills a day and an anti itch cream. The pharmacy gave me these special band aids that are for mosquito bites. They are for kids, so they have cartoon characters on them. But all of it works pretty well.

Kid sis, who is a super outdoorswoman type swears by covering the thing in nail polish. I've tried it a couple of times on ones around my ankles and it really does work. The logic is that if air can't get at it, it can't itch.

Alcohol works well for me, probably the main ingredient in the mool-pass roll on things.

If you're getting the bites at night I really recommend getting a mosquito net! I'm the same as you, mosquitos love to bite me, especially when I was sleeping:( since we got the net, no bites!!! nice!!!!
