Anyone know any games similar to werewolf/mafia? It was a massive, massive hit in class(small conversation class in uni). I can't play it too many times though.
Any one know any similar games, that involve guessing, diplomacy and lots of speaking? Or just any good games..thanks. |

I checked the Wiki page for the game Mafia and the other names listed are: Gotcha, Assassins, Paranoia, Killer, Tag, Elimination, and Circle of Death. |

I made a game that is very similar and I believe it is in the EFL Classroom resources / share area under ppt games. Big Gun / Little Gun or something like that. When I get home this weekend, I'll post a link here.
You might also check out the new Super Arcade I put up today on EFL Classroom 2.0. Click the Super Arcade link under PLAY. Lots of cool games and many that are good for whole class. The Deal / No deal would work great for practicing prices/numbers and negotiating (using discourse markers; "I think" what if, "I mean"...etc...

Thanks alot guys. That will really help.
Basically my classes want games, which I am prepared to give them as long as they are learning at the same time.
What I loved about werewolf was that everyone talked and everyone listened. sounds simple..but there is no downtime where one team or person is talking and everyone else turns off. everyone has to be engaged.
Any more suggestions are more than welcome. |
