where is the best place to buy camera equipment (new lens etc) in seoul.
i was going to head to Yongsang, but if there is a better place to go, id like to know.

Yongsan (go across the tracks from the station) or Namdaemun (along the north side of the market).
You had better have a good handle on what you want, the difference between gray market and non, and the price it is worth - before you walk into the shops.
