it's not a special account. Currently, I am in the US on vacation and both my wife's and my card work here even though they say "only in Korea". It looks like life just got a wee bit better for us foreigners. Now, when I get back, I will check on Internet banking.

I have internet banking with KEB and it sounded confusing when the banker was telling me about it. I set my daily max. transaction amount at 5.000.000 Won, but the ATM only allows me 1.000.000 Won per day for withdrawals.

They never told me that I have a 1.000.000 Won max. daily withdrawal amount.

I will discuss this with them next time I'm there and ask why and/or why they didn't tell me. I have to go to the bank the next day if I want to withdraw more $$$.

Everyone has this limit, not just whiteys. ATMs have the limit to prevent money laundering and extortions/kidnapping ransoms/other stupid crap.
