Check them all out here ( http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=20312425983 ) within this facebook group. I will be taking legal action against them very soon.

I urge all readers of Dave's to check out what's been happening on our facebook group. We have all been put through hell with this company.

I STRONGLY suggest that no one signs with them.

There are many problems with these "after- school" programs. Avoid them, if you can.

This is the same sort of baloney that I endured at the hands of Lee Tae Sup of BNC Action English out of Yangjae- 2-Dong, Seoul.

Maybe some of you had dealings with this Canadian gyopo from Vancouver and Calgary: He's about 5' 8" tall and weighs about 160. He's got tons of zits for a forty year old male, too.

Best of luck to all of the instructors who're gona duke it out with ASN!

For one, how does "bumping" a thread on a obscure website buried deep in a corner of the Web accomplish this?

For two, do you really think that this company will be bought to justice? There are all kinds of ways of getting around this.
And if they do evade justice...you plan on bumping this thread for the rest of your life?

Just waiting 2 weeks to get everyone to file together. I'm coordinating it.

Such hostility to nicely asked questions...tsk, tsk.

Tell me something. If the judge asks some questions akin to mine, are you going to say he's retarded as well?

I shall be watching your future legal endeavours with interest as it seems to have all the makings of an entertaining comedy...rather similar to ATEK's situation.

Nicely asked questions? You come across as a smart ass who has nothing better to do than to flaunt his or her English vocabulary on a website that people predominantly (probably spelt wrong) use as a teaching aid and as a place to come for help.

When it gets to a judge I will be prepared. I'm not going to post all my thoughts on the internet. Not such a wise idea seeing Dave Sperling still lets ASN post job listings here. It's obvious the owner/s of this site are just out to make a buck, and don't care who potential foreign teachers end up signing with.

Find something better to do with yor time. Your English skills are needed elsewhere surely.

It's my greatest strength. But since psychoanalyzing others from their posts on a website is apparently yours...don't you think that posting several threads on the same topic is a bit obsessive-compulsive?

Dude, it's a business. It is up to the foreign teacher to do his homework. And there is plenty of help here (see the contract sticky thread) You know, it got me curious so I checked through your earlier posts. It seems that you didn't do much homework, you were apparently too blinded by the thought of working only 4 hours per day for 2.2 million a month. You could have at least posted the contract and had people look at it.

All jokes and witty ripostes aside, all I was suggesting is that the Korean legal deck is stacked against the foreigner, and it might be easier and better for all concerned just to cut your losses and move on.

But since you don't seem to want the advice, have at it.

"just to cut your losses and move on."

Too many foreigners do that. Actually, I'd say almost all foreigners do that.

Foreigners have a reputation for just bending over and taking it, which is why TO THIS DAY, many hagwans rip foreigners off (often during the last month).

I'm assuming he went through the appropriate channels first (such as the labor board). If they are not getting involved on his side I doubt a court would.

The process takes FOREVER. You should file ASAP. There will be separate hearings for everyone who files with Labor.
You will have plenty of time to prepare your case.
