hey all,

On saturday night Aug.16th i arrived back home Sad from seoul, i had been in korea since july 7th, I also visited busan and cheju. and seoul is a wonderful place to be, I felt very safe there, everyone i came across were friendly too me and of course I met a beautiful woman there we are now an item, of course i didn't go out there to find a girlfriend i went out there to experience a different life to my own which i have here back in Wales, now since im from a small town so it was nice to be in a city like seoul. I am now planning on going back out in october.

I'd also like to work there but not teaching english, any idea's on what i could do there? or would there be a slim chance of me finding a non teaching job there?

well thats all for now

Bye.

Anders

a. Do you have an advanced degree in a hard science?
b. Do you have a B.Sc and many years of experience in your field.

c. Do you speak Korean?

IF yes to A then yes.
If yes to B AND C then yes.
IF yes to B and NOT C then maybe.

If no to A and B then no.

You need to make an honest assessment of your assets. What skills do you have, including education and years job experience. Look for a company in your country that could have use for these skills, and needs you in Korea. Talk to them and see if they are willing to send you to Korea to work here. Often companies have trouble finding staff willing to relocate and take in outsiders as long as they have the required job skills.

Better still: Visit a few other countries, you may find out that Korea is not the only or best choice out there. In Asia, try China, Thailand, Vietnam. Try South America. Try Eastern Europe. You have not spent enough time in Korea yet to get to the crucial phase of culture shock, disillusion. You left when you were still in the honeymoon phase. Korea is still hot and sexy, you haven't heard her burps and haven't smelled her farts yet (that may also apply to the girl you met here).

Yeah, I just got my E7 renewed. Ridiculously easy. Just act like
a Korean. Lie about everything you have done, are doing and will
do. Then throw a few stupid papers together and then presto...E7.

-no teaching
-no health check
-no criminal record check
-no drug test (thank god)

And yes, Seoul is good. Everywhere else sucks bad.

You were here for only a month? Thats way too short to enjoy the delights of Seoul.I strongly recommend you get over here, get a teaching job and experience this stunning country properly. A hogwon would be a good start.

I look forward to reading your posts and following your progress.

You could probably get a job as a male prostitute or maybe you can be a pimp.

1) Do you have gold teeth
2) Do you walk with a limp
3) DO you wear a feather in your hat
4) Do you or have you ever owned a 79 Cadi in bright green
5) Do you call all women biotches

If you answered yes to 4/5 you could be a Pimp.

I will never teach english in korea or in any other country.

Why?

Because I met many people mainly americans and canadians who were teachers and they were nothing but a bunch of c-word.

in fact americans and canadians in general are c-word I enjoyed beating the crap out of a few of them Smile makes me feel good also made the koreans around me feel good, seriously they bought me many drinks and even dinner after what i did to this one canadian guy Laughing

one thing I hate.. STOP HARRASSING LOCAL WOMEN AND STOP COMPLAINING COMPLAINING IF NO BARS CELEBRATE JULY 4TH OR CANADA DAY OR WHATEVER THAT RETARDED DAY IS CALLED EH? !!

Save your energy. Koreans will buy you drinks and dinner without beating up Canadians or anyone else. IF that even happened, they were trying to get you to calm down and stop making a fool of yourself.

Hmmmm. The OP seems to be a drunk Korean, possibly with a few years of living experience in N. America funded, of course, by the folks. The posts definitely have kind of a 'Damn, I'm almost an ajoshi' bent to them.

I stand by my original assessement, OP: 1. learn some grammar, and 2. lay off the controlled substances.

Why not teach in the public schools? From what I've heard, you don't have many fellow foreigners working there(if any at all) compared to say a hagwon....

I hope my fellow American country men aren't that bad over there when I arrive..... Shocked

You weren't here on either July 1, or July 4. Do you really expect us to believe you heard people complaining about that that far after the fact?
