I live in Daejeon where there used to be a bookstore called Kim and Johnson's. It used to be across from Lotte Department store but it has moved and I was wondering if anyone knows where it is now located.

I posted this question once before and someone said that it is in Tan Bang across or near the Hyundai Officetel, but I went there and walked around looking for an hour or so and could not find it. Can anyone give me more specific information about this bookstore?

Thanks in advance.

Doesn't look like they're in Daejeon anymore:

Thanks for the replies and the links. Looks like another good resource has moved to Seoul.

Kim and Johnson's has always had a branch in Daejeon and it is still there like an above poster stated. Dunsan-dong, near Clover Apt (where we go to get lucky^^), on the 8th floor of the building with Paris B. on the 1st floor (it used to be a Subway sandwich shop back in the day).

I know where Dunsan dong is, but there are lots of Baquet shops in Dunsan and the only Hundai Officetel I know of is in You Song. I have never heard of Clover Apt, although I would be interested to hear more about "getting lucky" there.

Can anyone be more specific about the location? Is it near Time World, HomeEver, or any other more well known places. Truthfully, all the streets in this country look the same to me, so the directions provided so far aren't much help. I appreciate the posts, but more info would be helpful.

Thanks again.

I've been to that store, but if I remember correctly, it was quite shyte.

Try going to eslplus bookstore by Galleria in Dunsandong.

It's on the 5th floor of the building that has the Dunkin Donuts, beside the Mcdonalds. It is definitely the best esl bookstore in Daejeon.

If you need regular, not esl, books, shop at whatthebook.com, or amazon.com, who ship to korea.

Both stores have their upsides and downsides. The one by TimeWorld is EnglishPlus. Kim and Johnson's is kind of near Krispy Kreme in Dunsan. If you are at Krispy Kreme walk toward the post office, at the lights (you will be kitty corner to the post office) turn right. Go down that road about a block and a half and you will see a Tous les Jours (sp???) bakery and then the Paris B. Go in there and take the elevator to K and Js. If you keep going straight on that road to the next major intersection you can see Clover Apt (where we go to get lucky!!).

Thanks for the information everyone. I'll post a new thread if I get lucky at Clover Apt.
Very Happy
Cheers.
