Flip! Imagine how sour the Aussie's will be if it stay's like this. Their Olympic chairman or some other crim head honcho was talking dirt saying how GB would never beat them in Beijing. I hope they do beat them, Aussie's are hopelessly arrogant when it comes to sport.
Still no medal for us poor Irish, not even in the boxing where we were well fancied with some gypsy boxer. oh well |

Great for as long as it lasts but I hope we get a couple of athletics medals to broaden the spread a little. Too bad Tucker choked on the day, Beth Tweedle was a nice surprise though, pretty close to a medal, I think if only her dismount had been better...
It's worse for China though, their whole Olympics is tarnished by Liu's injury. |

Couldn't agree more. Actually supported england in the world cup before last, as the aussies were such bad sports. |

GB are doing well, a few more golds in cycling and hopefully some in boxing with Tony Jeffries and David Price. GB got a gold in a high jump which was a brucie bonus.
I think we`ll get 19 overall gold medals, anybody for a prediction. |

^ I think you mean silver in that high jump, but very happy to see it anyway.
Germany's going to get more in the canoeing and kayaking though. |

Hanging tight in third. Good shit, that.
Meanwhile, China's creeping up on the States. Were it any country (besides Canada), I'd be getting nervous, but you really can't feel bad about things if China takes it, right? I mean, it's their turf, and look at the way they've cleaned up Beijing for the games and dealt so fairly with everything so far.
Canada...pffft! |

^ Thanks.
Man, we came so close to gold in the Women's and the Men's 10k swim, and in the triple jump, and now the Men's 400m team disqualify themselves! Hope we stay ahead of Russia. |
