Well, I had my medical check from a pretty big hospital about 2 months ago. I was down at immigration recently and the person there gave me problems about it. She was rather b-tchy about it. She claimed the hospital I went to was not a hospital but a clinic. I told her the name was ____ HOSPITAL and it had about 30 floors. Then she said I didn't get the Tbh something test and there it was written in BOLD so I pointed it out to her. Then she refused to accept it saying it was a clinic. I was really annoyed and got kinda b-tchy too. She finally caved...but what a b--tch!
some of those immigration ppl can be real twats. As I was being b-tchy, there was another foreigner beside me doing the same. Apparently, the guy was telling her that office didn't serve her district...(but it did)...man..twats I tell ya. |

It is actually quite possible that the immigration lady was right ... Having "hospital" in its name does not automatically make it a place that is approved for the health check. There is a list of specific places that are approved. Many clinics in Korea do have hospital in the name. Plus not all hospitals are approved for the Health check.
It is also true that different immigration offers cover different parts of the country ... And sometimes that does mean that the closest office to someone is not the office that they must go to ... This is not the fault of anyone who works in the office (so not the fault of the person who says you are not covered by that office). It is just the system. |

Tell them to pay for both of them and they can have as many as they want. |

Why have they asked for the second check?
Do you have your ARC? |

Korean Health Insurance Corp periodically requires health checks..it
is possible that you have been caught up in one of these, especially if
they are requesting it of more than just you at your school. The fact
that you've been there for only a short time means nothing.
I had to do one of those, 1 month before my contract was up. But there
was a letter with my name on it which came to the school, and the director had to do it too. |
