This earthcaller thing is 'free', so I guess I'd have to tell all about myself on a registration form. I'd create a throw-away email account (as I don't like getting junk email for months after signing up for a something like this) if I were to close the deal, but what about my phone number? That's a little more difficult to fake.
There's always a catch. |

| As far as registering goes, I did put a fake phone number in as well as a throwaway email account like you stated. The only "catch" that I saw was that the numbers you call are logged and they could be contacted at a later time (aka telemarketers). Whoopty shite, it takes all of 10 seconds to hang up on a telemarketer and so far nobody has said they've even been contacted. Anyway it's a small price to pay for a free call. |

| EarthCaller, here I come. I need a new throw-away email account anyway. |

Looks like I've started a trend.
Too bad they switched to activex. You have no idea how mad I was. In other news, I decided to try skype and it's a little bit busy for my taste but the pc-to-pc calling is nicely done. Simple and easy and good quality as well. |
