On a serious note, I know someone who's had his counselling, he's NOT cheap. |

skconquerer, an intelligent choice can take multiple, sometimes conflicting, perspectives into consideration. A legal guideline in the absence of evidence is an opportunity to factor in the specifics of a case. |
Care to clarify in a legal stance how it is not black and white? |
No, legally it must be black or white. I am saying that the legal perspective isn't always the wisest perspective. |
Well, when the safety of children could be in question I believe it MUST be black and white. The scope (context) of the statement seemed all encompassing. I agree that it would be unfair in certain situations, but in others it is totally acceptable and with the current rules it is impossible to differentiate between the two. |

This thread was getting a bit unfair I suppose; Harpeau was being berated and flamed by some.
However there was some serious discussion regarding professional qualifications within that whole flame session.
I don't think I would expose my real self and working life to this forum; it was kind of brave/foolhardy. |
He ain't afraid. All I want to say lest I restart the debate. |

Interesting, thanks.
An amazing range of ailments he deals with: depression, sexual abuse, rape, cheating spouses, cultural difficulties with couples, incest, overtiredness, alcaholism, loneliness, agoraphobia, etc etc.
Sadly it appears the esl community here suffers quite a bit. Either Korea brings this out of people, or the country attracts people with baggage. |
I would tend to disagree. Most of the people who come over to Korea to teach English tend overall to be quite healthy. Just look at the inner-city of most major metropolises~ there are many social problems in inner-cities. Overall, internationals in South Korea (excluding DDD workers) are doing relatively well.
I would like to add that I am a fully qualified counselor.

Many people in the inner cities of America exhibit behaviors that are downright barbaric and insane. Why can't they just chill like people in the poor communities of Korea? |

Image is everything. What type of aspirational models do kids have to imitate? |
