Mansil Lee, owner of Blue Travel in Gwangju has absconded with over 70 million won of other peoples money. If you know anyone who lost money please encourage them to go the police station and file a report.
That's Mansil Lee. Keep an eye out for this guy. |

Wow... same thing happened in itaewon with two different travel agents in the past year or two. Did someone once say something similar happened with that Zed guy? |

Yeah, two years ago my wife and I got ripped off for 1,000,000 won from that ass at Zed Travel in Itaewon.
I would call the Korean Consumer Protection Board first, and file a complaint. Then file a complaint with the police station. Make sure you have any receipts and correspondence you had with the travel agent. This kind of thing is difficult to get resolved, and probably never will. It is sad to say.
My wife and I, and the other people who got ripped off from Zed Travel never saw a single won returned. Luckily, we got his ass deported back to that shit hole Nigeria. |

^ I know this sounds racist, but why would you purchase airline tickets (or anything else expensive) from a Nigerian (or West African) in Itaewon? |

Just to follow up, I know of at least 7 people who got ripped off at my former university. From what I have heard, two people (at least) filed a police report last I had heard. My point is that this did happen and people should be very careful with travel agents here in Korea. |

And FYI: Never trust a friend to buy a ticket for you, either.
My very good friend (former Korean co-worker) was given a wad of cash to take several students to New Zealand for a summer English study trip. One of our other coworkers had a "friend" who promised a great deal on ticket prices. This "friend" of my friend's friend ran off with over 12 million won and was never heard from again.
She learned a hard lesson about trusting others, at the expense of a huge loss of face to several families. |
