This is the following from his blog. Apparently, he has been employed by a Christian school in Korea and doesn't even have the right visa for his job. So he has hit a low and sees teaching as a means to an end. No wonder that he has been pretty poor at teaching recently.

His blog: http://eslteachertime.blogspot.com

Quote:
English Teacher

THE ENGLISH TEACHER

The following videos show me as an English teacher who has not been paid for 2 months, and has been promised that I will get paid. I was an instructor at Baekseok University. A Christian university located in Cheonan, S.Korea. Here I am at the Seoul Campus plugging away.

What am I to do? I am a foreigner,an illegal teacher in the country with no working visa, which ultimately means no legal working rights. If I do finally decide to leave, I surely wont get paid, if I stay and hack it out , I hope that it will work itself out. Now a lot of you are saying at this point " you're a fucking idiot!!! I would have left a long time ago you douche bag!!!". Yes, I agree! I was a fucking idiot, I put trust in some people that only saw dollar signs. Leaving would have probably been the wise decision, but I had a nice chunk of cash hanging over my head, a carrot on a stick.I was a donkey. I admit to it.Though luckily I had enough wits about me to film a few clips of the English teacher that is looking for amusement.
My teaching ability has slumped to an all time low.
At this point I am approaching my 3 and a half year sentence as an English teacher.

PLEASE LET THE FOLLOWING BE A LESSON TO ALL!!!!
HERE IS THE CAUTION LABEL THAT IS NOT PRINTED ON THE CONTRACT:

TEACHING ENGLISH HAS THE POTENTIAL OF BEING A VERY DANGEROUS AND MUNDANE PROFESSION!!! IT CAN DAMAGE YOUR HEALTH AND DESTROY YOUR WORK ETHIC!!! IT CAN SUCK YOU IN FOR YEARS!!!IT CAN TURN YOU INTO AN ALCOHOLIC DEGENERATE!!! YOUR REALITY MAY POSSIBLY BE SPUN INTO THAT OF LIVING IN CANDY LAND!!! YOU MAY BECOME A LIAR OR A THIEF!!!YOU MAY BE LIED TOO!!!YOU MAY CONTRACT AN STD!!!YOU MAY BE INVOLVED IN A VIOLENT ALTERCATION!!!YOU MAY LIVE IN A PLACE YOU CALL ''THE BOMB SHELTER!!! YOU MAY COMMIT DEFENESTRATION!!!
OTHER SIDE EFFECTS INCLUDE:DELUSION,HYSTERIA,MILD TO EXTREME DEPRESSION
BE AWARE!!!

If someone walks into this situation with his eyes open, voluntarily making an agreement to work illegally, doesn't it occur to them that the other party to the agreement may not be a particularly ethical person either? Why would anyone be surprised there is no honor among thieves?

I found this site, looks like he made the blogspot into a .com. Not sure what to think of this guy, yet he does make an interesting twist on the situation.
Either way, I am a fan

Best post in the thread.

And hopefully other illegal employees or would-be ones will see this and think twice.

How about this:

Letters of Love
May 29th, 2008

This was a letter that was translated from Korean. I didnt know whether to laugh or cry.

I was really looking forward to meeting Kim Jong Min, my parents paid quite a bit of money to a well known match maker in hopes of finding the perfect man.
Luckily the match maker paid off and we were scheduled to meet the following Thursday. I got to find out much about him prior to our meeting, he came from a well to do family, graduated from Seoul Univerisity, and was set to take over his Fathers bank in less than a year. I, (along with my parents) were extremely happy.

The following Thursday I took all morning to get ready, my mother was in a fit and wanted everything to go perfect. I was 28 and nearing the age of silver, so you can see how nervous my mother was to get me off to a well to do man such as Kim Jong Min as soon as possible.

We were to meet Kim Jong Min and his mother at the Shilla Hotel on strict orders that we should not be a minute late, so this gave my mother much stress and she suffered from facial outbreaks. Oh the stress was unbearable.

Mother and I were seated in a private area that viewed the city, and shortly we were greeted by Kim Jong min and his Mother. She was such a beautiful woman and very friendly. We chatted for a short while before Jong Min and I were left alone. After chatting to each other for about half an hour we agreed to meet for a sort of first date that coming weekend. I was so excited to be the girl beside Jong Mins side. He was so rich.

Jong Min picked me up at 8 pm in his brand new Hyundai Santa Fe, It was so luxurious, leather on the inside and an amazing cd player, I was in awe. We stopped to eat at a kalbi restaurant in the Jong No area. Mmmmm, the dinner was so delicious. Jong Min took me to the best Samgyupsal restaurant which is very very famous in all of Korea. He was drinking quite a lot of soju and we were having such a decadent time enjoying our shots one after another. Kim Jong Min had a little too much and we had to leave, in the parking lot we were getting into the car when Jong Min started to vomit all over his brand new BeanPole pants, I was so upset I ran over to help him when a couple saw what had happened and Jong Min became angry and said that it was my fault that he vomited. Oh I felt such shame for having to do that to him. He started to strike me across the face with his purse, I was knocked to the ground and kicked. I apologized and Jong Min ordered me into the Santa Fe and explained that we were going on a romantic drive up Namsan mountain. This excited me very much, for I have heard only of the beauty of namsan mountain at night. On the way Jong Min apologized for what he did and explained that he had lost face, a few times I had to take control of the wheel for he would swerve left and right, it was very funny.
He told me he knew of a very special place on the mountain and he couldnt wait to show me. He pulled into an area with many trees but no view. Oh how romantic I thought to myself. He then began to force himself on top of me and pull down his pants. That is where our son was conceived, that night on namsan mountain and I have been with Jong Min ever since.

I read that to mean that's his predicament NOW, hence his difficulties, and not a scenario he agreed to in the first place.

My experiences in both Korea and USA have shown that most, if not all Christian Schools are Christian in name only, not in actions. Most non Christian schools behave in a more Christian manner.
